Event

The South Circular Road, Dublin, on the Eve of World War 1 with Dublin City Historian in residence, Catherine Scuffil.

1911, Dublin, faced into an event-filled decade including the 1913 Lock-out, World War 1 and the 1916 Rising. Dubliners lived their daily lives with no idea of the historic times ahead. We know much of life in city tenements, but this presentation reveals what life was like in the urbanised South Circular Road (SCR) neighbourhood at this time.
