Pioneering Women in Art

Join us for the illustrated talk Pioneering Women in Art at Pearse Street Library in celebration of International Women’s Day 2026. The talk by Aoife Convery will explore the rich and exciting work and careers of historical women artists who forged their own paths and paved the way for future artists. Figures discussed will include Mainie Jellett, Sarah Purser, Berthe Morisot, Nikki de Saint Phalle, Dorothy Cross, and more. This talk is part of the Hugh Lane Gallery’s offsite education programmes taking place in locations around the city.
